Village Networks for Single Mothers and Their Children

It takes a village to raise a child. For the 27% of Regina children who are being raised in single mother led families, this means that a program like YWCA Regina’s Village Networks is crucial. Welcome to the YWCA Regina Village Networks website.

YWCA Regina Village Networks believe that it takes a village to raise a child. This means building support through social networks and neighborhoods to reduce feelings of loneliness and stress, provide educational and program resources, and develop community-level leadership by single mothers. The Village Networks program seeks to assist single mothers in Regina by increasing their access to services and programs that will reduce social isolation and decrease socio-economic barriers that directly affect the lives of single mother families.

The YWCA Village Networks program offers a range of events, workshops, and activities meant to be supportive, empowering, informative and fun for single mothers and and their children.
